This was a special session for me because it was the first to take place in what will eventually be my in home studio! We moved to a new house in east Regina in September, and as grateful as I have been to my parents for letting me use their basement for my photography studio, I am more than excited to set up something more permanent in my own house! Right now the "studio" is basically my backdrop and lighting, but it works! Over the next 6 months to a year this will be one of my projects, but don't worry I am still open for business as I work to create the vision I have for a studio.

This session was also special because it was a gifted session and I can't imagine receiving a better gift than the capturing of memories! When I talked to Mom about what type of session she was imagining she wanted the session to be colourful and playful which lent it self perfectly to a confetti session! It is always my goal to take what the client is envisioning and use my creativity to turn it into reality. This session was a lot of fun, but as with any toddler had some challenges! A few things that helped things go more smoothly was having both Mom and Grandma there, having a few favourite toys, some snacks, water and playing some music. It is always smart to bring these things along to these type of sessions! The confetti also helped because it was something to play with!

I love capturing fun memories like these that I know this family will love for years to come. It is incredible how quickly little ones change, but through these images these moments can last forever.
