I had so much fun capturing some memories with this extended family! They had lots of great smiles and interaction and I could just see the love that they had for each other. Not all family members live in the province so it was a nice way to capture the out of towners visit - which is even more meaningful after the last 18 months we have had.
We had a last minute location change so this was a spot I haven't used and I love how it turned out! The way the light is coming through the trees is gorgeous, and of course as a photographer I am obsessed with light. It can make such a big difference in the overall look of the photo and this was a great spot.
After I sent the gallery, Chelby shared their previous family photo from back in 2008. It was so neat to see how much everyone in the family had changed in 13 years and they even had a couple of new family members. I hope they look back at these photos in the years to come and it reminds them of happy memories when they were all able to come together. I also hope they don't wait 13 more years for another family photo. It reminds me that my family hasn't had family photos in a number of years....and even then it is only wedding photos we have. I think it is time to think about getting some updated ones, especially now that we have added a few family members in the past couple of years.
