At Home Family Session in Regina, SK

I first met Jordan and Suede through Mommy Connections Regina (where I meet so many of my awesome clients!). When she reached out to me about doing a family session she mentioned her and her husband Christopher would like to do it in their home so they can include their cats! They wanted some images of the entire family happy in their home setting. I haven't had the opportunity to do many sessions in people's homes so I was excited and a little nervous for the session! A little nervous because it is hard to know what type of set up and access to light people have in their homes......and that is more important to a photographer than you might think! Second reason I was a tad bit nervous....I am allergic to cats!

When I arrived they had a couple of great spots to capture the photos, and much to my surprise their cats were hairless so no allergy concerns while I was there (thankfully!), so we were all set for some great photos. I was so amazed by their cats, I have never seen any quite like them before so it was neat to meet these little guys. They weren't too sure about me at first, but were willing to cooperate for a few photos at least.

One of the things Jordan mentioned to me when I asked her if their was anything special she wanted to capture in the photos she just said to make sure they have a family photo together before Suede got any bigger. If I have learned anything from working with kids and families over the last few years is how darn fast those little ones grow up! I hope they can look back on these photos in the years to come and remember this time in their lives.
